Description: This is a rare March 21st, 1955 programme (playbill) with an original ticket stub from the Post-London engagement of the JOHN VAN DRUTEN play "I AM A CAMERA" at the Opera House in Manchester, England. (The production opened March 12th, 1954 at the New Theatre in London and ran for 343 performances before going on the road.) ..... The play, which eventually became the basis of the award winning JOHN KANDER and FRED EBB musical "CABARET", starred MOIRA SHEARER as "Sally Bowles" and MICHAEL GWYNN as "Christopher Isherwood" and featured MARIANNE DEEMING, ANTON DIFFRING, SUZANNE BANDLER, JOHN GALE and EVERLEY GREGG .....
