Description: Beautiful set of Mintons china, 5-piece service for four. Pattern is Cheviot Gold which is an off-white swirled, fluted edge with gold rim and a gold laurel leaf wreath inset with a white center. This pattern was produced in the 1940's, and the dishes are in excellent pre-owned condition. Appears to have been rarely used, if ever, EXCEPT that one of the dinner plates shows minor scrapes or scratching either from utensil use or stacking. (See picture.) Dinner plates measure 10 1/2" across; salad plates are 7 3/4" across; bread plates are 6" across. Cups are 3 1/2" across and 2 1/2" high; saucers are 5 1/2" across. All pieces are stamped Mintons and all pieces except the cups are embossed with the year they were produced, 1940's. 20 pieces total. Set your table in style with these dishes this holiday season!
