Description: MILES DAVIS Collectors Items PRESTIGE 7044 W. 50th RVG DG LP 1st Original Press Click images to enlarge Description About this issue: Original press. 447 West 50th Street New York 19, N.Y. on jacket, 446 on label. Deep groove, "ear" etching. Yellow and black fireworks label, RVG in dead wax. Jacket Glossy jacket is in fantastic shape! Clean front, touch of corner wear. Back has pencil writing (radio station notes on tracks?). Light scuffs. No splits. Original inner sleeve not included. Jacket grade: EX Vinyl Record play graded. Side A Track 1 - starts strong. About a minute in you can hear a click. One jump. Towards end of the track it clears up. Last half of the track plays very nicely. Track 2- another strong start, additional noise kept at minimum. About halfway through a persistent click, disappears after about 20 seconds. Track 3 - Gorgeous, a very clean track. Track 4- Another gorgeous, clean track. Side A Grade: VG to VG+ Side B Track 1 - Light click on this track, disappears about 1:50 into the track. After that, very clean, very clear, no noise. Wow...piano into Miles' playing was very clean, clear, and through the rest of the track. Nice! Track 2 - Starts great, plays through the first part of it nicely. There's a pop here or there for a little bit, but then it's clear and is stunning. The piano playing with underlying bass here is so clear and clean. Track 4 - Beautiful, clean, clear opening. Plays nicely through, just a stunner! Side B vinyl grade: VG+ Overall grade VG to VG+ This record has been cleaned in our VPI cleaning machine.
