He is the first sculptor in Serbia who graduated in glass sculpture. From 1969 to 1991, he was employed as a glass designer at the "9. October" in Prokuplje. In 1991, he received the title of independent and distinguished artist. He has been a member of ULUPUDUS since 1960.He had 30 solo exhibitions and participated in over 100 collective exhibitions in the country and abroad, the most significant of which are "Yugoslav Applied Art" in Paris in 1969 and "Applied Art and Design in Serbia" in New York in 1962. His works are represented in the collections of the Glass Museum in Rouen (France), the Glass Gallery in Moscow, the Museum of Applied Arts in Belgrade and many other collections."I am the first artist to graduate in glass design at the Academy, because at that time design had just emerged as an expression, and that with ten. When I came to the factory, we were young, both the factory and I, and it can be said that I "grew up" with the factory. I was delighted by that material because you should know that glass melts at 1400 degrees and its working temperature is 1200 degrees, it is more of a liquid in the form of honey. As a sculptor, I fell in love with that material and looked for art in every subject.""9. OCTOBER" PROKUPLJE: The oldest finds of glass in the vicinity of Prokuplje date back to the first century AD, and the production and industrialization of glass is linked to Avram Petronijević's manufactory on Crni Vrh in 1846. A hundred years later, Prokuplje also entered the map of cities that, in addition to Paraćin, Zaječar, Ali Bunar, have their own glass factory. The glass factory was founded in 1962 by Milosav Popović and Božidar Simić on the site of the previous flat glass processing workshop. For a time, it worked as an outpost of the Serbian glass factory for manual glass processing, and later became independent. The products were original and outside the flow of classical glassmaking. Hand-blown glass was produced, as has been done for centuries on the Venetian island of Murano. Giorgio Dinon from Italy often stayed at the factory as an expert consultant. The masters of the factory attended glassmaking schools in Italy, the Czech Republic, and Germany and learned the craft there.During the 1990s, the factory's business became increasingly difficult, and it officially went bankrupt in 2003. The hall of the former glass factory in the Prokupa neighborhood of Mala Guba was completely burned down in a fire in 2019.
