From Mr. Passics article I learned that the author's pen name was L. Hindman, who in real life was Mrs. Lita Hindman Luebbers. I also learned that the book caused quite a scandal at Albion College at the time it was published because many of the story's character's names were too close to actual college employees. Reportedly most of the books were gathered up, making finding an original copy a rare occurrence. Condition: Pages are clean. Flyleaves have some age darkening and tips of bottom corners look a little chewed. Closed page edges have a little foxing and spotting. Red cover has darkening in gutters and dark spots where the edges turn in to the inside of the cover. There is some light white discoloration near top and bottom edges. No dust jacket. ptnbRf
