Smooth turn operation. Great Chrome "rails". Really nice Quality - Durable. I will ship un-assembled, but it is really easy to assemble. There is a small white cap that fits on bottom. You remove this cap and then the "center column" will slip out of top and bottom tier.To assemble, just line up the notches and carefully push column into place and finish by inserting little white plug on the bottom. I will label ends of column to make it easier. And of course, I am available to provide instruction if needed. (Shipping is actual cost due to dimensions of packing box.
