Manufactured by Dakin in the 1950s for its “Dream Pets” series, it measures approximately 7½ inches tall and is in great shape (made in Japan). Dream Pets originated as collectible miniature stuffed animals. Made of velveteen and filled with willow sawdust, they were manufactured in Japan beginning in 1957 by Japanese toy designers Tochigi Mongi and Tomy for R. Dakin & Co.
