Description: Men's Vintage Penneys Towncraft long black winter heavy coat sz 42 USEDThis is a Vintage Men's Towncraft Penneys long black coat. Research on the tag dates this coat from 1962-1976. The Amalgamated Clothing Workers of America changed red ink to black in the later years, since red ink was used on this tag should place this in the earlier dates show above. Approximate measurements are 50" chest (armpit and around), 55" waist(around), 26" sleeve length, 20" shoulder to shoulder, 41" lenth (back of neck to bottom hem). This coat has a 4 black button front closure, 2 front slant pockets, collar, 15" back slit, interior pocket, interior partially lined-at top only, and shoulder pads. No fiber content tag found I would assume wool/wool blend coat. Personnally, I don't think the coat was ever worn. The button threading is tight not loose, the slit in the back shows no additional rippage. And the overall appearance is in excellent condition. Would make a great coat for the business man that needs to do a lot of walking! Please read the description and view items carefully.
