It was previously in the collection of Ken Bauer, an advanced collector who assisted in the preparation of the full color editions of the Fuld reference books for Civil War tokens. The reverse of this token was used to illustrate this die in both books - die 512 in the patriotic book and die 1424 in the store card book.
