Description: The late Don Warning introduced the Memories of Santa Collection™ to the Christmas Industry in 1983 and produced 139 Santa ornaments. The delightful Santas in this collection were initially inspired by his own collection of antique chocolate molds. Later, he found inspiration from early chromolithographs, old post cards, antique trading cards, magazines, books, etc. The 1899 Santa (Santa for Young Folks) was inspired by the December 1899 cover of St. Nicholas for Young Folks magazine, based on a work by Will H.
