Description: Beautiful, antique bronze eight legged Japanese crab Okimono figure. I believe it could be from either the Edo of Meiji periods. Great design and is signed on the front (under the eyes) with Japanese block characters. The piece does have holes in the legs, which is part of the design. I was unable to find another figure with that element. Unsure if the holes had a purpose or was just part of the design. The piece is in very nice, antique condition with a great, dark patina. Measures 6” wide, 3” wide and 2” tall. Weighs 9 ounces.
