Coco coir casing layer Coco coir provides many benefits to the mushroom cultivation process. In addition to moisture retention, the porous structure of coir material enables good air exchange and is highly resistant to contaminants making it ideal as a casing layer. Filters & micropore tape The self-adhesive filters and micropore tape are designed to keep out foreign spores and other contaminants while maintaining humidity and air exchange. Use 100% recycled-material filters on 2" lid holes and black micropore tape on holes around base edge. Inoculation & Colonization We recommend using 2.5-5ccs per 3 lb injection port bag. We also recommended 1 lb of colonized grain spawn for every 5 lbs of manure-based substrate.
