When records are inserted the voice is somewhat garbled, hard to hear and fast., but if you listen closely you can pick out some phrases, all three records ( Willie Mays, Kareem Abdul Jabbar, and Bart Starr) are double sided and the repeat lever also works good. New Energizer D battery is included which has the bigger negative ground. Player itself has no cracks or scratches and has a nice carry handle. Hard to find an original player that still works.
