Description: This is a nice tack eye Redhead drake decoy from the Mason Factory (1896-1924), Detroit, Michigan. The decoy has seen wear and tear, probably from many hunting excursions. Its rough looks give it character! It needs a good home. The decoy may have been re-painted, but it would have been long ago. The body and paint is scuffed and worn. The decoy includes some wood losses on the bill, behind the bill on one side, on one cheek, the top of the head, the back, and the tail, and generally. There is also a crack down the back. The decoy includes a lead slab and separate nail attached to the base. The head swivels and can be removed. The bird also has old nail holes on its base. The decoy is painted as a Redhead duck, with a red head, white undersides and black bib, tail, and back. Measurements (roughly): Length: 13 4/16" Width: 5" Height: 6"
