Description: This is a nice pair of decoys. From the Mason Factory (1896-1924), Detroit, Michigan. They are two similar, and well-matched working decoys, Mason Glass Eye Scaup or Bluebills. These two decoys have seen wear and tear, probably from many hunting excursions. Their paint is well preserved but also worn. Their patina helps tell their story. They need a good home. The drake's head may have been repainted. The body and paint is scuffed and worn. There is a crack on the underside and a crack behind the head on the upper side. The Hen bill paint looks to have been retouched. The body paint looks original. The head doesn't sit squarely on the body. It is loose but does not come off the body. It includes a rounded bar weight on the underside. Both birds have old nail holes on their bases. Measurements (rough): Length: Drake 13 12/16 Hen 13 14/16" Width: Drake 5 2/16, Hen 5 2/16" Height: Drake 6 4/16, Hen 6 4/16"
