ABOUT STOOL Genuine and old Maasai tribal stool also known as the Saruni ceremonial stool, which was commonly used by elders during wedding celebrations and initiations. Although rare and old, many of the stools are currently used for day to day living particularly by women living in “Boma’s” around Kenya and Tanzania. The stool is constructed from a single piece of hardwood with four angular legs. The stools design can also be seen in the Samburu tribe (Regions of Kenya) who also use it for day to day lifestyle.
