Description: MICHAEL PRATER ADDED ANOTHER KNIFE TO HIS SIGNATURE SERIES OF COLLECTABLE CUSTOM LIMITED EDITION OF KNIVES. Prater used a Steel Warrior 3" Toothpick Pocket-Knife, he put Chrysocolla scales on this knife. Making it a very beautiful pocket knife. He used Banded Chrysocolla scales which are not only beautiful, these are a semi rare Gem-stones also. This makes 7 pocket knives that I have sold having Chrysocolla handles, and I have five of them in my collection, th other two sold out before I knew exactly what I had. We looked up Chrysocolla in the SMITHSONIAN ROCK and GEM BOOK, And on page 266 you can see this Gemstone is listed as very rare, and when it is found its normally with Opals and its only mined in 3 places in the world. Back in the day, the Greeks called it chrysos meaning Gold. The Steel Warrior line is a Frost Cutlery knife, so you will see China on the blade, these knives were no where near China. The blade was made at the Bertram Cutlery Plant in Solingen Germany, its 440 Stainles Steel the design is a Clip Point RHc 56-58 Hardness.
