Lucci Yarns Olivia is a yarn designed at a Stitches West event where I was a guest designer representing Lucci Yarns. Our signature yarn, Lucatape, was doing extraordinarily well as usual. Then a knitter came into the booth and wished Lucatape but without sequins. The same gauge was also desired. And Olivia was born enabled by the fact that Lucci Yarns is an American company in New York. I offered to replace the sequins with bamboo and alas Olivia was born. We immediately created several colorways from my color cards. Soon after, a companion Olivia was created to correspond with the Lucatape colorways. The hanks offered in the listing are without labels but are full sized. They were used for display at the next market show in L.A. when Olivia was introduced to the industry.
