Description: THE THREE INVESTIGATORS This a lot of forty-four paperback books in The Three Investigators series (first published as Alfred Hitchcock and the Three Investigators) written by Robert Arthur, William Arden, Nick West, or M. V. Carey, including the complete set of forty-three titles in the original series plus one related Find Your Fate mystery. All of the books were published by Random House. Only one book, #9, is an ex-library copy with the markings of a handwritten code on the first end page and a card pocket inside the back cover. Thirty-two of the books are keyhole editions and the other twelve are silhouette editions. Forty-one of the books feature cover art by Robert Adragna, two by Robert Marchesi (#8 & 12), and one by Vincente (FYF #2). Thirteen of the books are first printings as indicated by an asterisk after the title. Three books (#13, 28, and 32) still have the attached bookmark. The book in the worst shape is #43 with significant scuffing and some creasing to the cover, tears at the top and bottom of the spine, and an ink stain inside the front cover and on the top outside tip of the corner of some pages. Signs of wear to the other titles might include soiling, scuffing, or creasing to the cover, small tears at the top or bottom of the spine, small spots of peeling or a sticker on the cover, a slight spine slant, corner creases on the pages, browning to the pages, a name, bookplate, or sticker inside the front cover, a stamp and/or price on the first end page, and/or small marks, soiling, and/or moisture stains on the closed edge of the pages or on the page margins.
