Description: This pair of jars are really nice. The glass in them is wavy with a few bubbles which is characteristic of their age. These jars date from the 1870s which is 150 years ago! The text is the same on both jars: "MASON IMPROVED" One jar has 4 dots under MASON and the other jar has 1 dot under MASON. One jar has a small "6": under IMPROVED and the other jar has a small "3" under IMPROVED. One Jar has an "E" on the bottom and the other jar has an "F" on the bottom. One lid is teal colored and the text on that lid is "MASON'S IMPROVED, TRADEW MARK REGISTERED MAY 23d 1871". In the center of this lid is the monogram "CFJCo'". The otter glass lid is clear and has the following text: "MASON'S IMPROVED, TRADE MARK REGISTERED MAY 23, 1871." There is no monogram on this lid. The rings are zinc and in very good condition without cracks or dents. These jars have been in my collection for many years, and I'm selling off my collection now.
