Description: First,.don't be fooled. Too many sellers, perhaps unintentionally (we hope) don't know how to distinguish leatherbound books from imitation leatherbound books. The biggest clue? NO RIBBON! I'm not talking antiques but when it comes to Franklin Library..real leather has a place marking ribbon and fakes do not. Now these are fine books nonetheless and true classics. By the way, this offer is for the books only, not the book ends. If you are the sort of scholarly person who actually reads such works, Bravo. But many people and some decorators (admittedly also people) like to highlight a bookshelf or a small desk with a display of works such as these. Now I've read The Odyssey and Voltaire's Csndide, and I would like to take a crack at The Decameron which had an enormous influence on Chaucer and is full of spicy stories. In college I read a wee bit of Plato, such as Symposium. Aristotle, I fear not or it was assigned and I forgot. So some of this is very worthy of exploring.
