Description: These are hollow ground glass stoppers from Ace Glass, 24/40 standard taper. These are used to form tight seals with ground joints such as with volumetric flasks and boiling flasks. These were salvaged from a retiring lab and seem to be well taken care of, no chips or cracks or discoloration, basically new. A couple have some super faint marks on the sides, but these aren't abrasions or scratches, the ground seal should be fine. I think they might be leftover marks from vacuum grease or parafilm in their heyday. The Ace label has faded/ washed off many of the stoppers, but if you look closely you can still see their spade symbol faintly on some of these. Regardless, the stoppers are the same size and length and the pennyheads the same size too. It's possible that some of these are unbranded handblown, but I think it's more likely that they were Ace Glass stoppers whose labels faded over the years. All in all, these are essentially new 24/40 hollow glass stoppers that I think deserve to return to service. Considering how much they charge for these things brand new, if you're in need of standard taper stoppers you should grab these up.
