Description: Sunny yellow and white Gingham sheer dress embroidered with white flowers and sewn on lace. Has a yellow liner. This dress has no label indicating fiber content or size but the size is equivalent to a small (measurements are below) . Has a union made label and brand is " Marita, by Anthony Muto" . This dress is probably 1970's. The dress un-buttons half way down in the front for putting on/ off, also has a few snaps. This dress is in good vintage condition; 3 small holes were found in the upper sleeve near the shoulder and 2 small holes in the bodice near the arm pit. The elbow had a collection of small holes that were repaired with an iron on interfacing (the last picture shows the various holes. A dark color was placed behind the fabric so the holes and repairs would show better for the photograph). There was a missing piece of lace at the right elbow that was replaced with a similar lace. The dress is embroidered in countless tiny flowers some of which have loose or stray threads. Very cheerful dress. Buttons are round ball plastic, and cuffs have snaps. This dress does not have a fiber content label but I would describe the outer material as a sheer organza and liner as rayon/ploy or acetate. You can repair The holes in the same way the elbow was repaired, or you could darn a flower over them to match the other flowers, or leave them, it's up to you.
