To keep them longer, keep them in a cool dark place. A cooler with a couple of ice paks can help.Anything colder such as a refrigerator and you may end up killing them. You may also gut load your larvae by giving them a soft food such as soft fruits and veggies. To help prevent crawl-outs put them in a bedding.
