Description: Lino Sabattini, a master creator of cutlery and tableware, is one of Italy's top designers. Self-taught, he established a studio in Milan in 1955, and his talent for creating elegant abstract forms was soon recognized. Gio Ponti presented his metal objects to the public in "Domus" magazine in 1956, and organized an exhibition in Paris that same year. Sabattini became Director of Design at the prestigious Christofle Orfèvrerie, designing metalware for them until 1963. In 1964, Sabattini opened a studio in Bregnano.
