Description: This is a nice example of the Liberty Blue diner plate with Independence Hall. Plate is 10 inches diameter and has no chips, fading or deep scratches to the front surface. I found one small scratch by holding plate so it reflected light but was unable to depict it in a picture. Pictures are part of the description and will be the item shipped. Buy Happy! This blue and white pattern was made in 1976 to celebrate the USA's Bicentennial and served as a give-away incentive for a Savings and Loan, and then later, grocery stores. Each piece depicts one of 15 different historical scenes. The scenes were transferred from copper engravings and then transferred to Staffordshire Ironstone. These plates are dishwasher safe but should not be used in the microwave.
