Description: Nice sharp cased sixth plate daguerreotype depicting a wealthy well-dressed man in his powerful business pose. It almost looks as though he is scowling. The case is leather with a floral inlaid mother of pearl design on the front. The image itself remains quite clean and sharp. There is some spotting or bubbling on the glass, but does not really detract from the image. The case has some light edge wear with a tough of fraying on one edge. See images.
