Description: We are delighted to offer this seldom found serving platter from the Le Souk Ceramique company in Tunisia. Known as the Tabarka pattern, this beautifully designed, hand painted piece is both vibrant and gorgeous. It features a sweeping range of colors from the Mediterranean palette. Measuring approximately 16” diameter x 3.75” high, this piece is gently used with production related glaze skips on the rim as shown in the photos. The Le Souk Ceramique, a Tunisian company located in Nabeul, Tunisia, opened in 1997 on the breathtaking Mediterranean coast. Each piece of pottery was made using raw clay. Artists applied the paint freehand. Tabarka, the pattern featured on this platter, was named for the small city in Northwest Tunisia. Tabarka offers annual jazz festivals, which is where this design was inspired. In 2019, the Le Souk Ceramique company closed. We appreciate your careful review of the photos as they tell so much more than we can articulate; and ask that you zoom in for a closer look at any and all condition issues. We welcome questions and encourage you to ask before reaching a buying decision. Fixed rate shipping applies to US buyers only. As always, we thank you for taking a moment to consider this piece.
