Description: This is a great addition to the collection because this softcover children's books attain the original dj that the publisher issued with the book. It was uncommon for publishers to issue dj for softcover books and being this is a children's book it is even more uncommon that the dj was not destroyed. The wraps to this softcover book are plain white and not illustrated This book has strong binding so it can be read. The book is beautifully illustrated and is in the french language. The book has notations in the ballpoint pen on some pages in English because I assume someone was learning to read french. The wraps and dj have heavy wear, as does the spine of the book. The back wrap is bent at the lower corner due to improper packing by a former owner. The corners of the book have wear. Even tho the copyright page has the date of 1946, this is a 1959 edition of the 1947 ed as evidenced by the publishers page at the back.
