Description: Vase measures approximately 7 3/4 inches tall and 5 1/4 inches wide. This is a stunning early pottery vase by Laurie Sylwester. In addition to teaching at Columbia College in Sonora, California, Sylwester's works have been exhibited all over the west coast and even adorned the Christmas window display for Neiman Marcus in San Francisco one year. Vase features a raku fired glaze with colors of gray, charcoal, mauve, and pink. Hand carved designs and cutout flower petals adorn the rim. Flowers lightly resemble a lotus or lily. Signed and date by the artist on its underside. No damage or repairs. Light surface wear as seen in pictures. Four small green felt patches are attached to the base for protection on hard surfaces.
