Description: Just out of a local smoke free house is this antique Art Nouveau Pewter Centerpiece, Flower or Fruit Stand. The centerpiece has pond lilies, lily pads, and cat tail designs with a removable brass insert. It measures about 21 3/4 inches long, about 6 3/4 inches high, and about 8 1/2 inches deep. It is substantial and weighs over 6 pounds. It has no makers mark but has the dates 1884 and 1909 on one side and may have been a presentation piece at the time. The pewter has a soft grey patina acquired over the years. It can be left this way or polished. The brass insert has had an old solder repair on its unseen outside surface. This does not show when the insert is installed in the pewter frame.
