Description: This Blue Spongeware Crock is rare larger size with a 5” height and a 7 ¼” diameter. It has typical stoneware glaze flaws: two air bubble pops on the lid and small marks on the surface. The lid has small edge flakes on the outside and small edge chips on the inside. It shows primitive construction with a slightly out of round top lip. The butter crock is sturdy with no cracks. I do not have the bale handle. Please look at the photographs as they are considered part of the description.I guarantee it to be old and as described.
