Kraft 2+1CH Vintage RC Transmitter

Description: Up for auction is a Vintage Kraft Sport Series 2 +1 CH Transmitter that has been upgraded to 2.4GHz. It’s called a 2+1 because the DigiSpark 2+1 encoder has 2 proportional channels, and the throttle is on a button with 3 sequential positions, off, mid, high, and mid - with the midpoint either at half or set as required during calibration. In operation holding the throttle button cuts the motor from any position. The throttle is intended for servo operation of Glow/Gas engines however it will work with electric motors. Caution must be exercised with electric motor use, as I am unfamiliar with the specifics of all safety protocols. The electronics I used include the DigiSpark ATtiny for the encoder and the Lemon DSMP DIY Module for the RF module. The Lemon module is intended for conversion of a legacy AM or FM RC transmitter to 2.4GHz DSM2/DSMX™ compatible protocol. Battery is not included; this is left to the discretion of the new owner. I recommend a 2S LIPO 7.4 volts with a JST plug and around 1000mah capacity. I would not recommend going above a 2S LIPO at 7.4 volts. The circuit is supposed to tolerate up to 3S but I have not tried this yet, so I don’t recommend it. Credit for the programming code and building instructions should be given to Phil Green in the UK and many others in Europe. They are the true brains behind this kind of Retro Conversion. I programed the encoder with the sketches that they created and then assembled the new electronics into a vintage transmitter. I include hard copies of documentation which includes the capabilities of the encoder, general operation of the transmitter and the manual for the Lemon RF module. All of this information can be found online, but I included hard copies of the basics to get the new owner started.
