Description: This is a self made Reproduction item, based on photographic evidence, with dimensions and style taken from an original similar armband in my own collection. WW2 Red Army cyrillic "KN" (Komandantski Nadzor) armband, made of red cotton and fabric paint. This style has no ties and would most likely be folded at the back and pinned to the sleeve as at 44 cm diameter it is quite long! Band is approx 13 cm x 44 cm. Believed to have been introduced by Chief of the General staff A. I. Egorov on 21st October 1935 as part of a range of armbands. A reference picture of one in use during WW2 is shown.
