Kodiak Canvas 6014 10x14 Deluxe Tent Tent Features: This Kodiak Canvas 10 x 14 tent is great whether you're headed to the campground with your family or elk camp with your hunting buddies. This rugged, all-season tent is well suited for any occasion. Made with premium-grade, Hydra-Shield, 100% cotton duck canvas (walls: 8.5 oz, roof: 10 oz). The tight weave and silicone finish make the canvas watertight yet breathable minimizing condensation and mugginess. Go ahead and touch the inside walls during a downpour - this canvas will not wick water. This particular model sells out before all the other canvas tents we carry. Note: the tarp is not included with this tent. The tarp is optional and although it is a good item to have it is just a tarp - not a canvas drop cloth. In the past, it has been included, but we have replaced that free tarp promotion with the bonus optional accessory in the dropdown menu above. If you need clarification on this please contact us. Many customers purchase the canvas vestibule (also known as a privacy wall) that attaches to the outside awning. If you are in a crowded campground and need a place to stash your camp chairs or cooler away the privacy vestibule can help. It doesn't completely enclose the awning, but encloses one full side and leaves the two other sides slightly open. So, keep your cooler out of the sun and your camp stove out of the rain with the privacy vestibule. Click here to see more information about the vestibule. You must purchase a grommet kit and add your own grommets to overlap the awning and vestibule wing. Additional Images Customer Reviews Great tent Great tent. Just used as a base camp elk hunting. My research led me to a 10x14 Kodiak flex bow, and continued research led me to Competitive Edge. After our first camping trip with the flex bow, my wife and I are more than satisfied with our decision! As expected, we lost some interior room compared to a cabin tent, but still had plenty of room for our queen-size cot and single chair. I had set the tent up at home and seasoned it, and thankful I did. It RAINED during our first two nights, without a single drop making it inside. My wife LOVES the translucent roof and I'm glad to finally have a tent with a canopy over the door. Set up wasn't "easy" by myself, but definitely do-able; I just may have to do some arm work before the next trip. My favorite part of take- down? The cinch bag, without question! Our first trip with the Kodiak flex bow was a success, and we look forward to future adventures! Charley and Emily took great care of me and helped get my package made available to me to pick in time for my camping trip. Seriously top notch customer service from this company. The tent itself also did great, it's a bit heavy, but that's to be expected with a canvas tent. Definitely worth the extra weight, last day of camp trip we had very strong winds and we didn't notice until we came out of tent and saw other tents almost flying away. Asked by: Krystl3 - 1/21/2021 A: We at Competitive Edge have tested them at below zero temperatures and they hold up just fine even with water freezing on the roof. Kodiak canvas may have tested them at even colder temperatures, but once you hit that below zero I'm not sure it makes a difference since freezing is freezing. It is a standalone item that is sold separately. It saves you a couple dollars to order it with the tent, but a lot of people have to budget for these items-they are an investment. Answer provided by: Charley Hansen Laptop (2/2/2019) Q: I'm comparing the 6014 Deluxe and the 6041VX (Super Deluxe). I understand that you lose the vents on the 6041VX but you get two added windows. I'm wondering if, when you need just a little ventilation at night, would the vents function better than just unzipping the windows a tiny bit on each side? It seems like the vents could be better if not camping in hot weather? Asked by: Chris - 1/4/2018 A: The windows would definitely provide much better ventilation since you can open them up all the way or just a little bit. Answer provided by: Customer Service (1/8/2018) Q: I own a glamping business and considering purchasing this tent. How will it perform if left up for several months? I live in Tennessee. We occasionally get downpours of 2-3" of rain but the greater concern is wind that sometimes gusts 40-50 mph. Asked by: Leslie Dunn - 9/16/2017 A: We have several businesses that do a similar thing. It holds up very well in rain and we have tested it in guests up to 40 miles per our and it held up just fine. That is the highest wind rating we have tested it at though. Many businesses that purchase these tents will often put them on a wooden base and sometimes will even cover the tent with another canopy to prolong the life of the tent since the UV rays will eventually get the better of it if it is left out for a solid year for example. Feel free to contact us with any other questions. Answer provided by: Customer Service (9/18/2017) Q: Were looking at purchasing one of your tents and would really like to know someone like us that has a budget for my family. What's the true difference between the basic and deluxe and if it is worth spending the extra money? Thanks Asked by: Jason - 8/18/2017 A: on 6014 Q: Were looking at purchasing one of your tents and would really like to know someone like us that has a budget for my family. What's the true difference between the basic and deluxe and if it is worth spending the extra money? Thanks A: The main difference between the basic and the deluxe is the windows, the 6044 basic has 2, one on front and one on back, but none on the doors. The 6014 deluxe adds on windows to the doors, and vents on the sides as well. In addition, the Deluxe includes a gear loft to hang from the ceiling, a pocket organizer, and a bag organizer. It also has a deluxe storage bag. The Super deluxe has triangular windows on the sides as well. Currently the 6041VX Super deluxe is only $10 more than the Deluxe, so if you were thinking of going with the deluxe, then definitely go with the super deluxe. Can this tent withstand some amount of flooding? Asked by: Nate - 4/20/2017 A: The floor does come up about 2 inches. However, the tent is not designed to withstand flooding. Standing water outside the tent should not, but flooding may be a bit much for the tent. Answer provided by: Customer Service (4/21/2017) Q: Why would one choose the Deluxe 6041VX 10X14 tent over the 6041 10X14 Deluxe tent? The only difference is VX model has side windows and the other doesn't? Why would one select one over the other? What are the advantages and disadvantages between the two models. I am looking at both and can't decide between the two Asked by: Joseph - 3/12/2017 A: The number of windows is the main difference, they give you extra Ventilation, extra openness and a better view. The extra windows allow you to open up the tent even more and regulate airflow and temperature better. Answer provided by: Admin (3/14/2017) Q: What is the difference between the basic model and the deluxe model? Asked by: Margie - 3/6/2017 A: In the description please scroll down and you will see a comparison chart that shows the difference between the models. Answer provided by: Customer Service (11/17/2016) Q: Does this tent have a stove jack can it be used as a hot tent ? 70x60 Asked by: Outdoors987 - 10/1/2016 A: For liability purposes, we do not recommend bringing a stove inside the tent. Answer provided by: Admin (10/1/2016) A: A few people have installed stove Jacks in a Flex-Bow tent, however precautions need to be taken. Such as installing a larger piece of fire retardant canvas around the stove pipe and jack. The cotton canvas used with the Flex-Bow is usually lighter and not the same type of canvas as used with other canvas tents, which are often treated with fire retardants and other types of water proofing. Canvas tents that have stoves and jacks the tents are usually made from heavier canvas that's won't easily catch fire and have problem due to a hot stove pipe. Answer provided by: Customer Service (8/4/2016) Q: I am wrestling between the 10 X 14 deluxe and the 10 X 10 deluxe. How much more difficult is it to put up the 10 X 14 vs. the 10 x 10? Is the additional weight much of a factor? Asked by: Ben - 7/20/2016 A: There is no difference whatsoever in the difficulty of setting them up. There is no advantage with one or the other with the exception of the 10 x 10 being slightly lighter to carry to the destination where you are going to put it up. Feel free to contact us with any other questions. Answer provided by: Customer Service (7/21/2016) Q: Is the ground tarp separate? If I choose not to get the ground tarp is there still a bottom or "floor" on the tent? Asked by: K - 5/28/2016 A: The ground tarp is separate. If you choose not to get the ground tarp the tent still does have a floor. It is a very nice floor, in fact. The tarp is just an extra layer of protection. Answer provided by: Customer Service (5/31/2016) Q: Could I I purchase extra rods ? thank you. Asked by: customer - 2/23/2016 A: This is already waterproof out-of-the-box. No need to get a rain fly. Sometimes customers that are keeping it out for long extended periods of time (not recommended) will cover it with some type of rain fly or pop up awning to protect it from long exposure to the sun. Answer provided by: Customer Service (2/24/2016) Q: Are there tubes that slide in the tent that holds it up and in place? Asked by: N J - 2/13/2016 A: I'm not quite sure I understand the question 100%. There are flexible rods that hold the roof up and then there are upright poles that hold those up. The flex rods do slide through sleeves. The upright poles do not slide through any sleeves. They connect to the roof and the pin on the ground part of the tent. Answer provided by: Charley Hansen (5/2/2016) Q: What does it mean when you say "Flex Bow" canvas tents? Asked by: N J - 2/13/2016 A: Flexible refers to the technology that holds the roof as one solid piece-the rods are not just straight-they flex or bow slightly. Answer provided by: Charley Hansen (5/2/2016) Q: Is there a rain fly available for this? Asked by: Customer - 2/1/2016 A: Your response avoided the question. A previous question asked about a rain fly - the response to THAT question was more complete, saying a fly is not required for waterproofing, but some folks use one to protect the canvas from long exposure to the sun.THIS question just asked if a rain fly were available. Since you didn't answer that question, I'm guessing the answer is no.I understand, Kodiak thinks a fly is unnecessary. I happen to like a fly, both to protect the canvas, and to provide an insulating layer of air to help keep the tent cooler in hot weather. I guess folks like me will have to make our own. Answer provided by: OffGrid9 (11/5/2016) A: It does not need a rain fly, it is watertight. Not having a rain fly also makes exiting quieter when the wind blows, which is nice. Answer provided by: Customer Service (2/1/2016) Q: is there a kit , so a wood burning stove can be added? Asked by: Greg - 1/24/2016 A: For liability purposes there is not I'm sorry. Answer provided by: Customer Service (1/25/2016) Q: Why your price is lower than the Kodiak Canvas? Are you selling the same tents? What is the difference? Are your tents new? Can you e-mail me the lowest price you would consider in an Offer. Asked by: Excel - 1/12/2016 A: These are brand-new, unused, unopened, and we ship them directly from the manufacturer Kodiak. Answer provided by: Customer service (1/13/2016) Q: What's the overall total weight? Asked by: Lewis And Cluck - 12/10/2015 A: Approximately 82 pounds. Answer provided by: Admin (4/29/2016 9:11:04 PM) Q: What's the overall total weight? Asked by: Lewis And Cluck - 12/10/2015 A: The overall weight is 82 pounds. Answer provided by: Customer Service (12/10/2015) Q: Can I fit more than 8 people into this tent if two of us share a sleeping bag? Asked by: Maddie - 7/15/2015 A: I am sure you can fit more than 8 if everyone was smaller and not taking up much space in sleeping. The opposite would also be true. If people were occupying a lot of space, you would not be able to fit 8 people. A better way to possibly get at an answer to this question is to look at the square footage and layout of the tent and map out where each person would be sleeping and how much space they would be occupying. That will give you an idea of the occupancy you would be able to reach.
