Description: This Zero Clearance throat plate is made for your Kobalt KT1015 job site table saw. You need this if you want to make cleaner cuts with your table saw. The plate comes with a removable/replaceable riving knife for safety. The riving knife stands 3/4 inches tall. The plate securely attaches to the table saw with a spring loaded latch. Note that the latch needs to be retracted when installing the plate. When installing this plate for the first time, lower the saw blade all the way down. Set the table saw fence on the installed plate, and raise the spinning blade through the new plate to cut the existing slot and the riving knife according to your specific blade and needs. Note that the riving knife can be cut away when raising the blade for deeper cuts, but always raise the blade only as much as necessary to cut through the thickness of the material.
