Keystone Stereoview Building Dikes, St. Louis, IL from 1910’s Education Set #148

Description: This is a Stereo card of workers building dikes to protect East Saint Louis, Illinois from floods. It is from the Keystone “Visual Education” 600 card “Tour of the World” set from the late 1910's and shows great details. This set was used in schools to teach children about the world. As with most Keystone sets, some of the images were taken years before the issue date of this set. Unlike most Keystone “Tour of the World” sets, this set has a very heavy emphasis on manufacturing around the world and includes factories, transportation, farming, mining, etc. Most cards in this set are in very good to excellent condition with typical wear to the edges. Any damage to this particular card will be listed below. This card is titled "Building Dikes to Protect the City from the Flood, East St. Louis, Ill." and is numbered 148 with a Keystone negative number of 20118. This card is in very good to excellent condition and measures 3 1/2" by 7”. The back of the card is printed with information about the subject.
