Description: On offer, we have an original silkscreen poem by Kenneth Patchen (1911-1972). "Counsel For The Offense" is on white paper probably printed by Frank Batcher in 1955 in an edition of 200. The paper may, or may not, be handmade.This painting in poem measures 14 1/2" X 11 1/2". The back is clean. This is in excellent condition. The printing is bright, bold, clean and clear. It has been handled and has some very light wrinkles. There are small spots on the top edge and bottom right corner. As I am not an expert on art, please see my photographs for more description.
