Kadee HO Scale Coupler Draft Gear Boxes - Snap-Together #242 Standard (10pr) Kadee Couplers are the gold standard in HO model railroading. With durable all-metal construction and their patented Magne-Matic uncoupling with delay feature, they are the brand that model modelers trust. This is the new standard pocket! Gone are the days of using Kadee #5 pockets with "screw ears", that fall apart while inserting the couplers, and have an unrealistic thin face opening. The #242 loses the "ears" in favor of a single standard 2-56 sized hole. The box and lid snap together with authority, and won't fall apart in handling (I think they'd even work for normal use without a screw... but haven't dared it!). And they feature a "buffer plate" around the coupler opening, which does a much better job of simulating a real coupler pocket. These pockets are the Standard NMRA or Kadee-sized pockets! They will work with "whisker spring" type couplers, as well as traditional #5 couplers, or most any HO coupler. A package contains TEN PAIRS of pockets.
