In fine unread condition, paperback original in the usual blue french flaps with white lettering that is standard for the 1st printings of all fiction titles released by this publisher. Light rubbing to edges and corners. ** Any signed 1st printings of Mr Fosse's works are very uncommon and are almost always to a publisher bookplate. They are now highly collectable since his prestigious Nobel Prize win. It is incredibly rare to find any example signed by him to, say, the title page ** Asle is an ageing painter and widower who lives alone on the southwest coast of Norway. His only friends are his neighbour, Åsleik, a traditional fisherman-farmer, and Beyer, a gallerist who lives in the city.
