Description: A beautiful Minnesota freshwater original runs better than it looks. I am a veteran outboard mechanic, OMC trained since 1972. This has been modernized with coil and points replacement. These are a 2 stroke twin, with self contained fuel tank, and weedless, rockless lower unit. For reverse, you spin 180 degrees. This protects the prop from damaging objects while backing up. ALL parts are still available for these timeless engineering masterpieces. With a twin cylinder 2 stroke....it fires TWICE with EACH single revolution of the crankshaft. That's why they are whisper quiet and ultra smooth. The fuel economy is also incredible. Portability....? Wow! 30 pounds. Close the little fuel vent and fuel valve, and off you go....no worries about spilling oil or gas, like from a 4 stroke. Four stroke single cylinders are rough and noisy. They fire only ONCE in every TWO revolutions....that's why. Also this little masterpiece will run with Amsoil 2 stroke oil at a mere 64:1, or 2 Oz. per gallon of non-oxy fuel. Result, no smoke and reliable operation for many additional decades. The previous owner had bumped it around a bit, causing some dents and scratches that you will note in the photos. When I travel, I carry mine in a duffel bag. Fits perfectly with a length of only 37". You may want to store your motor carefully, because the last one I shipped to an ebay buyer, was stolen. He was heartbroken so I found another one and shipped it down. These are getting harder to find now as time flies by....folks are getting to know how great these motors really are. I have an Evinrude Golden Jubilee Edition "1959" as my personal 3 hp. These are the very best lightweight gasoline motors ever made....none would argue. I've worked with them for 59 years now.
