Description: Here is a Johnson Brothers ceramic coaster from the discontinued Game Birds pattern. This would make a lovely little trinket tray too with it's hand-painted transfer design of a male and female Ruffed Grouse. Each piece in this dinnerware line freatures different game birds. It measures 4 1/8 inches in diameter with a glossy glaze. The coaster is both functional and beautiful and was crafted in England likely during the 1970s. Condition is very good with the exception of a manufacturing flaw on the rim, see last photo, of a flattened glaze skipped glob. It has a printed backstamp with crown logo that reads "2 Q, Johnson Bros, Made in England, Ironstone". Thanks for looking.
