Description: Jim Shore Heartwood Creek 4005333 Hanging Pumpkin Birdhouse 2006 Halloween Great looking Jim Shore hanging pumpkin birdhouse. There is some minor wear and there was a repair done. Light scuffs and scratches from use and storage. The story I was told was, the pumpkin rolled off a table and it unfortunately broke the top of the stem off. I decided to purchase it anyway and take a shot at repairing it. I think it turned out well, take a look at the photos and see what you think. I used a 2 part plastic epoxy for the repair rather than a standard glue because it hangs from stem. The stem was hollow so I filled it with the resin to add support from the inside and hold the two pieces together. The resin is pretty thick so it was pretty hared to hide the break line. It wasn't overly noticeable but I thought I could still make it look a little better. I mixed up some paint to match and touched up the line. I didnt get into the area where there are multiple colors blended so there is a small section the line is still noticeable. A little bit of matte clear coat to better match the original finish and well.. you be the judge.Last 3 photos show completed repair.
