He immigrated from Morocco to Israel early in life. He went to New York City at 30 under a scholarship from the Brooklyn Museum of Art and studied printmaking at the Pratt Institute. Amram Ebgi is an international Artist, a craftsman, and a master printer who strives to combine the warmth of sensitive feelings with light and the complexities of life with subtle structure. He does ink on paper drawings and also lithographs, etchings, watercolor, oil and work on copper.He has had an art career for more creating that refers to his Jewish heritage. His work has been commissioned by UNICEF and permanently displayed in the Museum Collections of Yale, Princeton and UCLA.
