The enclosure is a bit rough, it has some scratches on top and a few of the corners are dinged. I believe there is supposed to be a thin mount that says “SYNTHESIS” on the bottom but that has been removed and is not available. The small university I got this from had instead screwed some brackets on the ends to bolt it to something. I have removed the brackets for shipping but will keep them in case you can use them, but you have to ask. The grill has a few issues as well but looks OK from a few feet away and quite frankly the speaker looks better with the grill removed anyway as I think you can see for yourself. I would say that most of the dings and scratches could be easily covered with a magic marker or some spray paint, will leave that to you. If you don’t use the brackets the resulting screw holes could be plugged with some black silicone. Again, I will leave that to you. So overall cosmetically a bit rough but the speakers themselves, given the age, look great. To my eye the surrounds on the woofers are in pristine condition. I hooked it up to an old 70’s vintage receiver and it sounds really good. So functionally I can say for sure it is ready to play.
