JAPANESE PAMPAS GRASS SQUARE BLOCK PLATE :: Art Pottery HAND MADE Minimalism

Description: Offering a WONDERFUL! and SUBSTANTIAL square block plate created out of red clay. Believed to be a Japanese Block Plate inspired and designed in the spirit of the Kenzan Ceramics, this is adorned with a whispy illustration of pampas grass along one side and has a heavy speckled/pitted glaze. I have not been able to identify a signature or artists signature of any kind. While this is a PREVIOUSLY OWNED ITEM, it does not appear to have ever been used, but most likely used for display purposes only. THERE are NO Knicks, Chips or Cracks of any kind. The only flaw worth noting are areas of crazing to the glaze which could be original to its creation. There are NO Surface Scratches from utensil use or inappropriate storage. Truly in WONDERFUL Condition. POSSIBLY Vintage. (Without having the provenance, I am unable to specifically date this item.) This measures approximately 6 3/4" square, 1 3/4" deep and weighs approximately 1.11 lbs. This comes from a smoke free home. PLEASE NOTE: I do my very best to describe all items very carefully.
