Description: Japan c1905 Postcard Fujishima Takeji Woman w Three-stringed Instrument Unposted This beautiful card was in my late grandmother's postcard collection. It has an undivided back. On the front is a 1901 illustration by the painter Fujishima Takeji (1867-1943), of a woman with a three-stringed Japanese Instrument, part of a series of 6 watercolors called "Six Themes About the Music." Card has some yellowing and normal handling wear. There is a small crease in the upper left hand corner, visible largely from the reverse. (See last photo.) Card is unmarked and unposted. What a great find for your collection!
