It is a multicolored note that measures 154 mm x 76 mm. Its obverse side shows the main gate of the Shuri Castle in Naha, Okinawa. Its reverse side portrays the scrolls and calligraphy that depict events from the “Tale of Genji”, the world’s first novel, and the “Diary of Lady Murasaki”. Though the note does not have a security thread, it has a watermark of the Gate of Shuri Castle.
