Colonel James B. Irwin (1930-1991) was a member of the Moon landing mission Apollo 15 (July 26-August 7, 1971), who spent several unforgettable and life altering hours on the lunar surface. He was an American astronaut, aeronautical engineer, test pilot, and a United States Air Force pilot. He served as Apollo Lunar Module pilot for Apollo 15, the fourth human lunar landing.
