Description: === Copy of a work by Jacob van Ruisdael, often considered the premier landscape painter of the Dutch Golden Age. Painted by Maryland artist Phyllis Duer, likely early to mid-20th Century. Nicely executed, it seems faithful to van Ruisdael's style and technique. Brushy, moody and atmospheric. The canvas texture is evident throughout. Varnished. I'd say it's a medium gloss. Clean and in good condition. No repairs. A fresh clear finish on the original oak frame. Please examine the reverse, which has relevant information. The canvas is 16" x 20". The frame is 20" x 24". 2 3/4" deep.
